OUR SITE & PURPOSE
In the "morning time" of the church dispensation the disciples went everywhere preaching the Gospel. Very few of the hearers had heard about Jesus Christ. In the "evening time" many know of Jesus and most cities and towns have church groups claiming to represent Christ.
In the "morning time" the charge was to go into all the world and bring the Gospel, whereas in the "evening time" we hear the Lord say to His people to come out of Babylon; a symbol for false religion...
Revelation 18:4
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Here, at the Church of God in Caloundra, God has been leading us out of false religion and has brought us into a greater understanding of His Word for a few years now. Previous to this we spent many years being led about by the creeds and doctrines of man rather than the Word of God. Having felt the damaging effects of false religion, we have a heart to see others set free from it as well.
There are many people who love God and desire to serve Him in all sincerity and yet they are held captive and restrained from doing the will of God by false religion. The only way we can overcome all that is false is by examining all we believe and stand for against God’s holy Word without any bias. The Bible is the only assurance we have of the truth.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
God’s Word certainly is the power of God unto salvation! The power of the Word of God is attributed to its ability to separate right from wrong, and to discern every thought, attitude and motive of the heart. With its sharpness and precision we may use it just as Ehud did to deliver the Israelites from captivity to King Eglon of Moab in the third chapter of Judges.
Judges 3:20-22
And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat.
And Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly:
And the haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the dirt came out.
Our aim is to use the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God in the same way Ehud did. The have you considered DVD’s are compiled in such a way that the Word of God might be driven directly into the belly of false religion, without drawing back so that the dirt within may be exposed and God’s people who have a sincere desire for all that is true might be set free.
The Bible assures us that where God’s Word, the two-edged sword of the spirit is delivered according to His will, there will most definitely be a result.
Isaiah 55:11-12
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
We believe that where God’s Word is sent, it will bring judgment against that which is false and encouragement for that which is true. Some people may reject the truth given to them, however they will go on knowing whom they serve. Others may accept the truth and conform to it.
